Sarah Gentili (Utrecht, 2000) is a Dutch/Italian vocalist who knows how to touch many with her versatility. With her warm sound she feels at home in close harmony ensembles, jazz/pop bands, duos and as a backing vocalist. She sings in several languages such as Italian, Dutch and Portuguese. Especially the latter expresses her love for Brazilian music. In addition, she enjoys singing cabaret repertoire.
This collection is wrapped up in her graduation concert Il Sole Sorge: 'the sun rises' in Italian. The theme 'a new beginning' is therefore the common thread. This is incorporated in her lyrics and covers in various situations and the doubts that can come along with them. Walking a new path is central. A fresh start on an early morning with a crisp sky and radiant sun is Sarah's vision. Everything is still possible on this day: no path yet trodden and no direction yet set. Either way, it takes courage to pursue your own happiness.
